with an affordable price, reliable drive train and luxurious interior..the crown goes to the mercury grand marquis!

- tyrone jones: I purchased my merc in 06 and it's a jewel.. 2003..and I have a 92..both still runnin great
- Neil Ouellette: I'm on my 6th Grand Marquis, a 2003 Grand Marquis CTE Custom in the last 25 years. Bought with 44,000 miles and now have 197,000 on it. I keep them until 225,000-250,000 miles on them. Except for everyone replacing the intake manifold once or twice in their lifetime, these cars are indestructible. Yes, I will be buying another in a year or 2. With many back surgeries with steel rods in my back and down my left leg, these cars are so comfortable. Always bought them from the elderly as they only drive to church and grocery store once a week. Hell, they've never been over 55 mph on the highway. Buy from the elderly! Nothing like a rear wheel drive V8 powered car. Next one will be a 2010. Last full production year. Also the insurance industry has Grand Marquis a 5 out of 5 star safety rating. Consumer Reports has it 5 out of 5 stars for trouble free reliability and maintenance.
- BLOCK BEATER: Question: why do some p71s come with stock h pipe and others don’t?
- Gerardo Lorenzo: Do a before you buy Pontiac G8 Base, GT, and GXP for your next video
- Peter: "Ultimate Panther body"? That's the Town Car (or Marauder)
- William Clark: I got a 98 Marquis that i bought for 600 bucks been driving it almost 3 years...Totally worth it
- tHRILL€®🦍: If I could get a 99-03 crown Vic lx sport and install my 08 p71 engine in it and transmission I'll be happpppy I'll be 6 steps closer to the MARAUDER
- Slayer John: The digital cluster was only for the LS models, the GS was the base line and lacked the digital cluster. Which I would rather have an analog cluster anyway. Also surprisingly true that the Marquis are cheap. Probably cheaper than abused CVPI's. Seen CVPI's go for above 2k while the Marquis has been on a steady decline and also way more common to find for sale over a CVPI. Bonus points is the fact that no one is looking for them. They want that Police Interceptor badge on the back.
- 4 Seasons BBQ: You swear up and down for the P71 and now you're bangin on them for this obviously paid for video, you're a punk ass bitch. I'm glad I never subbed your channel.
- Rand M. patlan: On Instagram @xassagrad has one of the sickest MGM' s out there. Check em
- Charlie Denbigh: Not sure if it's the same for you, but in Canada you could get most of the P71 suspension in the Grand Marquis with the LS package, it had the suspension with the addition of rear air bags and dual exhaust
- Junior1986: I love my 04 merc. Same exact car-color as the silver one in the video.. Just hit 52k on it the other day. She's mint
- Scolio: Just got an 06 grand marquis with 71,000 miles for three grand. Great shape, no rust. The vinyl on top is cracked and there are little weird things that dont matter
- Trey Ferrell: I've had my 01 Mercury Grand Marquis for 10 years and never had a problem with it
- Ricky Broussard: Same car just a different label
- Jack Johnson: Cop car..
- Uncle Sam: I have a 2000 MGM with 154k. There are only dozen MGMs in my country (Ukraine, Europe). Most of them are second gen (1992-1997), two or three are first gen (box body), only two are third gen (one of them is mine) and one is last gen - 2011 model - which imported from US just last summer. It's great car. And MGM-owners in our country are real MGM-fans. But high-quality service of such a car is expensive in our country.
- Contending For The Faith: Be sure to keep the front lubed on these older model crown vics and grand marquis or you will be sorry.
- Tha Realz: Oh so now p71's have bad transmissions, bad diffs and intake manifolds that crack funny I've had 9 and not one of these problems
- Tony G: Just get a after market chip
- Tim Shattuck: I have an '03 I bought used in 2009, it's been fantastic. Good power, super comfortable and it gets me where I need to go. Although the PO didn't keep up with the maintenance. The suspensions wear out on all of the panther cars because they're so heavy. Look out for ball joints and check the rear axel seals/bearings. The intake manifold cracked on mine even though it had the updated part. The LCM went out but was replaced for free since it's a safety recall. I also had to replace the ABS computer, fuel pump and have the AC system rebuilt. At this point the car has been paid off for years and it still runs great. I'll be sad when it finally comes time to get rid of it. I honestly don't know what I would replace it with.
- Bimer catracho: The wakanda
- edward1967able: I bought a 91 Lincoln executive with a 111,000 miles on for 1500 and the car is pretty solid if I say so my self , they don’t build car like this anymore , now all they have is well you know what 🤣
- MTN HUNTER: This is exactly the situation I went through bout a year ago I was looking for a decent mileage P71, but I could not find one that did not have a ton of idle hours, been beat to death, interior gutted, and if I could find one it was way over priced. Then I had a thought.....look for a Mercury Grand Marquis.....typically very well taken care of, hardly abused, low idle hours, interior is usually in great shape....you get all the benefits of a P71 without all the disadvantages. My car was a one owner 2006, 62K, driven by an elderly lady, interior was immaculate, paint like brand new, runs and drives like a brand new car.....on average I drive over 100 miles a day and nothing drives or runs better man its great I will never sell it!!!
- Rob Sorgdrager: You know that there is no mechanical difference between the Panthers platforms. Yeah, yeah the murauder had a stupid aviator engine ...other than that it's the same car. I'd rather have a used and abused p71 , I'm a master mechanic . I have a 2000 watt stereo sooooooo I'll stick with the p71
- abursaw: P71 is a cheap way to achieve Marauder thrills. It gives you the basic car that you will be modding to make it a Marauder clone anyway, you know all the fancy rear end upgrades and the mag wheels and stance, etc. Which saves you money on a Maruder because essentally there are two types of a Marauder you will find in the used car ads; either a high mileage beaten on "drug dealer" car that will still be inflated for price because its a "Marauder" that you will have to rehab anyway just to make it a decent driveable car before you strap on mods. The second type will be a low mileage "show car" that someone either babied it and/or garage queened and is asking waaay to goddamn much for an MGM with a better engine and police suspension. Unless you got the coin and the desire is there to pay the price because that is your dream car. That price goes higher if they got the 4.6L supercharged early on with the SC kits they really don't make anymore...EXCEPT its also a Mustang engine in the 03 Mach 1 version (I believe) so you can still get the SC kit for it. MGM is a plush cruiser that I own and I get complements on it all the time because I bought an 03 from a dealer that an old couple traded in (original owner) with 65K miles and two tone leather with landeau roof for 5900. Yeah its a bit too much, but the car was like brand new still and the guy doing the paperwork kept talking about how that car will last forever. I try to keep the car somewhat close to original and not go insane and put 22s on it with 15's in the trunk or anything silly. I also feel like in the future there will be another panther car in my life but unsure if it will be a Town Car or a Marauder.
- Waktosha 73: I own a 2004 Grand Marquis, and had it since new. I love that car!
- daworm166: im in florida
- daworm166: what auctions is best to buy used police cars or trucks ?????
- john wilson: Is the Town car the only one with rear air suspension
- Jeffrey Matthew: No i believe some of the grandmarquis may have it also but im not 100 percent sure on that becouse ita just something i have heard i never actually saw one with air ride honestly. I have a town car and my drivers side air bag leaks . You can get a coil conversion kit cheap but i am just going to get a beefier air bag set you can get for them heavier duty rubber . Becouse i dont wanna lose that ride quality it rides like a dream.
- Jordan Alexander-Cooper: What bouta 1992 or 2001 Grand Marquis? I owned the 92 but I got rear ended and it was a total loss. But I have the 01 model I just want an opinion on them I guess
- Tim Shattuck: The 03+ handle better, they don't feel as big when you're driving around a parking lot. I also really like the face lift the 03-05's got and the intake manifold issue was "solved" although I still had to replace mine due to cracking. Otherwise the 01' is the same car, I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up if it was in good shape.
- Scott Schwartz: I bought a 2011 Grand Marquis Ultimate 1 owner grandma car in 2015 with 28k actual miles for 9k $. She’s a dream to drive and oh so comfortable. Good Video and YT channel!
- P Castile: Great video and I agree with you on the MGM.I own a 2008 with 150k miles and it's been one of the best cars I've ever owned. The Grand Marquis does have a transmission cooler but not engine oil cooler like the p71.
- Eric KM4WRD Daniels: I'll take the P71 or P7B Crown Victoria over and Mercury Grand Marquis any day. The police package Vic's have bucket seats leaving a place on the transmission hump for a console to put radio gear in ...where the Grand Marquis has a bench style seat making the Grand Marquis not very radio friendly.
- Rogue Video Productions: People who’ve never watched your videos are like “this guy is a hater” not knowing the GOAT. Lol
- Mr Random Reviews: 🙌🙏🙏🙏
- twoeightythreez: So the solution is to buy that MGM and a beat to shit cop car. Swap diffs and suspension and upgraded cooling and then sell the cop car and you have best of bth worlds. I love my 1993 grand marquis but want to also get a 03 to 05.
- Justin Corbin: 120 my ass my 04 governs at 108
- bert smith: Just bought an 06 Grand Marquis LS (got rid of my money pit Dodge Magnum Hemi) owned by a little old lady. It looks almost brand new and appears to have never sat in the sun for a long time. Mine is lite blue and with a black vinyl top. It has miles 135,000, but so far it runs better (cheaper) than the Magnum.
- bert smith: +Meatball Ent. I miss the acceleration and the much better factory stereo system. But it seemed every 6 weeks I had to repair something on it for the 4 years I owned it. The suspension parts always wore out. I blame that on Dodge crappy parts. I save money buy being able to put cheap gas in it compared to the Magnum. I'd love to put some cool rims on my Grand Marquis but I can't see it looking cool with the vinyl top on it so I will just leave it stock. I'd also like to put a dual exhaust on it and give it some growl but it's just money spent on vanity.
- Meatball Ent.: Yea you made the smart choice but you don’t miss the speed
- viva la pachanga!!: Just got me a week ago a grand marquis lse this car is so comfortable plus love the shifter on the floor.
- Harry Tran: The Mercury Grand Marquis is a middle children of the Panther Family are Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Marauder, Lincoln Town Car.
- vortech49: as if anyone would pass up a marauder for a gm,,please
- LéNoob: I’ll give you some stuff, but buy a town car. Much better 😊
- J Rdz: My 2011 LX topped at 111mph and i rode it for about 3 min
- ktumbleweed: I have a 2011 Crown Vic LX , civilian car. Basically the same equipment as a grand marquis. Leather , power driver seat , slightly different instrument cluster that the p71. Actually this is my 2nd 2011 LX. Have had no problems whatsoever with either car.
- The Dark Vortex: P71 blow trannies left n right ahha
- Kavis Poole: I owned a 98.. It never let me down!!
- Paul DaProphet: This car is driven by ya grandparents or ya typically hood nigga
- John Leeper: I have a 2000 mercury grand marquis nice clean car runs great two older people had it PAID $900 love the way it looks no rust or body damage!!
- K.A. GENT: I have owned 3 Grand Marquis and I can tell you frommy personal experience that they are governed to 107mph..the speedo says 120 on it but they will not reach that speed no matter what.and two of the two of my Grand Marquis had the HPP Handling and performance Package which has the dual exhaust yadayada yada..its a joke because they dont handle nearly as well as my twoCVPI's 2010 and 2011 those cars have very tight suspension
- Kent B.: I'm in France, I own a 2007 Grand Marquis Palm Beach Edition. I approve this video! ;)
- BTC Fanboi: Yeah I have a silver 2003 MGM Ultimate. Converted the rear air suspension to coil springs. The air bags were already leaking when I got it so I just solved that problem for life. Transmission has a broken accumulator spring, making the 1-2 shift jerk about 10% of the time. Converted the Y pipe single exit exhaust to true dual, no linkage pipe. Just two divorced 3" pipes right off the rear cats with side exits before the axle. Added Marauder headlights and corners, swapped in Crown Vic tails, tinted the tails in the S55 pattern, tinted the giant red rear fascia so it appears black. It's the daily and I abuse the whole hell out of it, so I'm not putting any more money into customization :)
- Hi: How about a 97?
- Jonathan Kosyjana: Loveeee my 05 marquise.. bought it from my parents for 4500 with 30k miles, its at 49,000. Ive been taking it on snowboard trips, i drove it to Vermont from Maryland, in snowy conditions, and it does better than some trucks! Anyone know if it is worth taking the carriage top off. I need to repaint it, its white with the black carriage top but, think I wanna go with black. I smoked a Corvette the other day on the road he stopped me at the light, man that thing does great what did you do to it...me..shes completely stock! I always say it with an s too, hahah i gotta stop..dude the speakers bump too, I but a Bluetooth head unit in and it actually drive the speakers more, great forr old rock and roll stuff from the 70's maybe not for hip hop, might need a 12 or 15 in the trunk for that, but for midrange music i love the sound of the system too
- Jerrold Allen: Love my 05 mgm it only has 82000 miles on it and runs like a dream
- Tanner P: I have a crown Vic LX and it’s practically the exact same car
- Cara de watdafuk: I got a 04 grand marquis. best car ever
- Saul Lopez: Great video, mercury marquis and ford victoria, both are heavy duty cars, shown!!
- Aarron Rubini: Town car beats them all smoothist ride out there an last forever
- *STEEL \\[]RSE C[]\/\/B[]Y* MiLEZ SpectrE: Regular Car Review fan I see 👍🏾
- ffas23: I agree. To this day my Main everyday car is a 2000 Mercury Marquis. Has less then 35k miles on it. Won’t ever give it up and would buy another if I needed too.
- Kurt Zimmerman: I bough a 2001 mgm in November 2017 . One owner 84 year old lady. I used this as a work car because of all the miles I drive. Have to admit I've had a few minor issues, but this is the most comfortable car I have ever owned. Cruises down the highway effortlessly. Huge seats and quiet. Ac will freeze your head solid.
- Keith Bassett: My parents used to have a 96 MGM...interior was identical from 95 all the way through to like 2002...the only difference is the steering wheel and SRS airbag assbly...these cars will go forever....just keep a check on thermostat/housing, esp if you have the all-plastic intake manifold..usually on later 90's early 2000..
- Kurt Zimmerman: +Frank Cedeno III these cars will run forever. Not perfect but pretty sure I'll get another 100k out of it, no problem.
- Frank Cedeno III: Same here. I have a '96 MGM with cloth interior. However, she's clean and reliable with no mechanical issues. I swapped in LED bulbs for the headlights (huge difference) and just put some '14 Mustang GT wheels on her. The extra grip the car now has is nutty
- Keith Bassett: I too, own a MGM....mine is pretty much a base model, a GS w/cloth interior....let everyone point and laugh at the big old cruiser with all the exterior plastic chrome and ostentatious metal 'wood' trim and lazy-boy style split bench seats....this beast of a machine will still be running smoothly and gliding on air by all these naysayers left on the shoulder of the highway with their hoods up and thumbs in the air......lol....NOW, WHO HAS THE LAST LAUGH?.😉
- 1960's Clint Eastwood: My favorite car isn't a Lambo or a Ferrari, it's the panther body Grand Marquis\Marauder\Crown Vic and Town Car. I wish I had one so bad. (can't have it because they were never produced anywhere near where I live. Importation and taxes would cost me a brand new Audi A4)
- fish tank noob: Hey guys...what u guys mean by panther car?
- fish tank noob: +Frank Cedeno III well sir thank you very much
- Frank Cedeno III: It's the chassis name. The chassis is called the panther. Because the parts are common across all the cars built on that chassis, you could take the brakes or the front end off an '02 GM and bolt to a '96 GM with not much trouble
- Blac 76: Amen , I just got rid of my 05 p71 after I replaced the rear end and transmission. That's only part of it. I got tired of all of the maintenance and got an 2013 Charger RT
- SRS II: Have a 2004 ls ultimate, great car, I" d rather have the grandma stigma than todays crossover 'Dork' stigma. lol
- Julio Balderrama: Buy undercover vics... not the city ones
- Grover Mayers Jr: I suppose I'm one of those older owners of a Mercury Grand Marquis LS!! I own a 2005 with a rare 5 passenger with a center shifter and moonroof and 4.6L V8 and very low miles.
- Grover Mayers Jr: It also has factory dual exhausts and 235 horsepower. In love mine!! I got caught speeding in it a couple years ago. He let me go with a warning and told me Grand Marquis are a bit faster than a Crown Victoria P71. I still don't believe it but I must admit mine is pretty quick.
- Redd Rojo: Nice.. get them Off the P71s. Yup..True Grandpa Marquis You'll love it
- Demarco Rosas: I would care less if I was in a Grand Marquis because those cars are better than a Buick Century.
- Alfred Morency: You are like one of those assholes who post a review of my favorite restaurant, which gets very popular, the service and quality go down, the prices go up and I can't get a seat without a reservation. Please shut up and take down this damm video.
- Dennis Parker: Get a 2010 vic interceptor not a flex fule 0-60 five seconds. J-mode Ford took care of and a higher h.p.tune take one for a test drive today
- William Stonehocker: 1992-2002 models please?
- Paul Jr. Harrington: The Grand Marquis felt very lonely as police decided to opt for its twin brother, the P71 Ford Crown Vic, instead of it.
- Bantamdude Rodriguez: Damn you Mr. Random!!😩
- Ali Sleeq: They are very popular over here in the Middle East. More than the Crown Vic!
- Zach s: Lincoln town car
- IkaFang: Before you buy. That one time ford but a v8 in a Tarus. 1997 Ford Taurs SHO
- Jay Ortiz: Lol i just seen car doing the first burn out in romeoville illinois.. Pulled out of the shell and did i little burnout i was like damn i wish i was driving my p71 right now
- ken Pomerantz: I drive one and drove one before this one......
- Dominique Cockfield: Mark viii
- P I: Love your channel. Preach it about the Gran Marquis. I own a 97 that I bought for 1000 back in 15. When I bought it had 215k now has 255k. Right after I bought it took a 500 mile one edge trip in it. Only thing I did was change the oil to 5W/20 , so it would flush the engine somewhat. Driving 70 + avg 27 mpg. Currently run 5W30 or 10W30 and still get about 23 mpg to 25 mpg. Try that in a 4 banger and all cramped up. It is not the lx with the leather and all but I love it. No the downside. It did have a couple of minor repairs, brake lines and shift linkage. I will probably have to get rid of it. Why? Rust. The previous owner never washed it. The front underside is rusted bad. To the point I was advised the front frame would need to be cut out and a new (junkyard) clean frame welded in. Remember Ford with the Crown Victoria had a recall on some of them about rust. But I am already looking around for one.
- cccvick: I have 6 seat belts in my p71...."street package"
- Rémi D'Anjou-Roussel: Before you buy s10 extrem?
- Rémi D'Anjou-Roussel: Nice car but is not my marauder<3 nice vidéo! !!
- CRA_55: Mercury Grandma Keith
- jake weg: What happened to the ford galaxy????
- Jonathan Kosyjana: My dad has a 67' and we have two grand marquise's a 98 and my 05, and a 79 stingray, and a 67 Mustang, and a 58 bel air, they need quite a bit of work, but not too much. Lots of v-8's
- Joel Spivak: I have a 99 Grande MarquisLSC 153,000 miles, silver metallic bucket leather seats dual exhaust! She's a bitch! Power? Hell yeah! 0-60 in 7-8 seconds! No scratches, dings, rust! Bought her 6 years ago for $2,000! She's going to outlive me! Lol
- Bobby Kogel: Having access to both a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis LS HPP package in Arizona beige metallic (car I got for my girlfriend nearly two years ago -she enjoys it too!) and my 2003 Mercury Marauder in Black. I gotta say that Grand Marquis handles it’s own not against the likes of the Marauder but the ones you would’ve never expected like bmw 3 series not m3 Territory but the usual scumbags. Haven’t had any problems with pistons blowing up yet the Marauder has had a hard life before me so it had a timing chain jump a tooth on me and it still ran for nearly three years like that until I said “let’s throw another engine at it instead of just a timing chain set” -hard to do that job in the car so if it’s coming out anyway🤷♂️. The transmissions in both cars are in extremely great condition and are in great running order. Even with my 200 lbs shop gorilla lead foot in my Marauder on top of that I’m working on year five with it too! From my experience with panthers are that 2003-2004 any model Grand Marquis, Marauder, Crown Victoria LX/LX Sport and Lincoln Town Car [not as much so with the police interceptor for many of the same reasons listed by Mr. Random above and I have a admittedly a litter le experience in that matter too having owned a CVPI myself] is the best of all worlds because you get the upgraded chassis with the better handling characteristics the dropdead reliable transmissions, differentials and engines and most if not all of the boxes in the creature comfort‘s get checked too. While still avoiding the major transmission problems from the 2005 panther bodies all the way to 2011 mainly if your car has electronic throttle body it will have transmission issues me being a mechanic I cannot tell you why this is so because I can’t understand it myself! Thank you Ford!?!? Because in 2004 the transmissions was upgraded from the usual but good 4r70w to the even more stout 4r75e of which so happens to be the same transmission as what people are having problems with in 2005 and newer panthers but being in the cable throttle body powered 2004 Panthers they are just as reliable as the 2003 and older 4r70w transmissions. On a side note there’s a common misconception is that the police interceptors have “stronger suspension components” but in reality the meat and potatoes are identical. The main differences is a thicker anti-rollbar re-valved shocks/struts and stiffer springs giving it a 1 inch taller ride height for extra ground clearance. The only thing that can be considered to be stronger that is technically part of the suspension would be the wheels because they were designed to mount a curb at a 90° angle at 40 miles an hour. But of which the Civilian model wheels seem to be just as strong, I was forced into a less than ideal accident avoidance maneuver with a Fed ex driver towing triples who failed to use his left turn signal and check his Blindspot while I was passing him on his left I ended up mounting The center median curb at or slightly above 40 mph in the Grand Marquis With its factory HPP deep dish mesh aluminum wheels and we came out clean on the other side all is good!
- Erick Andrade: Officer Doofy lmao
- Jacob Moon: I have a 2001 Grand Marquis in my opinion I like the older ones better they had that classic front end but also had that modernized rear end
- Keith Bassett: Yes, I totally agree...mine is a '98 MGM GS model...Spruce green with almost 200,000 miles...is a joy to drive and floats like a steamboat navigating the mighty Mississip...i believe the traditional segmented grille on the '98-'02 is more attractive and in line with all the classic styling of earlier more well known Mercs...ie, 1949 grille ...the newer 'waterfall' design is ok if u have no imagination or don't mind thinking that ppl will mistake it for a ...ugh..BUICK!...The vertical height with the round badge in the center...and the triple angled Mercury logo from a distance DOES INDEED resemble the round Buick emblem with it's three slanted ascending shields...C'mon...I can't be the only one who noticed that!...lol
- ATX-CVPI: Next video: Before you buy a Lincoln Town Car.
- Florida Man: 1997 and before
- Aarron Rubini: Same everythang as vic an murcery
- PGTMR2: I got a 00 GM for $900 under 100k miles. A little less power, (220 hrsprs, single pipe) suspension is the older more inboard design sucks, and steering box instead of a steering rack also sucks, that's what you get with the 02 and under. It was in decent shape needed a LCA on the RF. The rest was super cheap easy to fix crap. Easily has another 10 years in her. Cut a hole in the vents to shove a Bluetooth cd player in the dash. Factory speakers were decent enough.
- Jordan Davenport: Love my marquis just wish I had the leather some woman just turned into me my marquis totaled hers and my car drove away my car needs about 4k in body damage but thank God it was her fault
- Private message: Thumbnail car looks awesome
- richard bohm: i love my 05 grand marquis. oddly enough i was looking at P71s before i bought my merc. an with a little work, the suspension can be upgraded over what the crown vics have.
- Forrest J: I picked up a 2006 burgundy Mercury Grand Marquis Ls clean title no salvage 92,000 miles no body damage just your typical paints chips scratches etc interior is practically brand new no tears stains etc I’m the second owner When I got purchased the car it was cover in spider webs like it had been sitting in a garage I hit the jackpot oh and the price was 6,000$ it’s got everything except a moonroof and heated seats🥳
- Nicholas Sinclair: But what about the spotlight!! Hahah so not kidding a bit I drive my 08 p71 daily and on my way home 90% of the time I'm either in front of by 1-2 cars or behind a super clean champagne colored grand marquis, well today I was directly behind it and I was thinking to myself the same thing, that thing looks like it has zero abuse and would be a nice driver, but then I got home and took a double take at my interceptor with the black steelies wearing the eagle ultra grips and the setina push bumper and thought to myself.... Nahhh lol
- David Vasquez: I have a 2000 grand marquis with 263,674miles on its and still a beast love my car 🚘
- Shotguns N mudmowers: I got a 03 crown vic lx presidential (P74) with the lether top. Its an awesome car
